The 8th Godrej No1 Sahyadri Navratna Awards were held on 8th May 09 at Doordarshan's lawns, Worli Mumbai amidst lot of fanfare. The event was compered by Umesh Kamat and the vivacious Madurani Gokhale - Prabhulkar. This year's awards ceremony was sponsored by 'Godrej No.1 Lime & Aloe Vera'. Director General of Doordarshan Mumbai Mr. Chopra inaugurated the award ceremony. From GCPL, Dr. R. K. Sinha – COO – Marketing and Operations GCPL gave away the 'Chitra Ratna' to Ashok Saraf for his contribution to films and the 'Godrej No.1 Fresh Face of the Year' award to Priya Bapat. Pradeep Ughade - General Manager Marketing GCPL gave away the 'Natya Ratna' award to Dilip Prabhavalkar.
